Hi fellow parents!  It is the beginning of a brand new school year.  It's a time of transition... a time of excitement... a time for hope.  It is also often the time for increased power struggles at home.  

Bright and highly sensitive children have a variety of characteristics that can challenge the most calm, cool and collected parent.  In my work with these complex children and their families, I have found some simple strategies that seem to be effective in preventing power struggles.
