Linda and Tina, thank-you! Wonderful to hear the importance of respecting your gifted child. So many feel powerless and helpless in environments where choices are made for them and around them. Their loss of control over their learning can make them intensely frustrated and their intensity and sensitivity can be exacerbated by these feelings of frustration. It is a circle of feeling and reaction. Taking time to respect and listen to their experiences and feelings is paramount for parents, teachers and therapists. Again, thank you for your wise words based on understanding and years of experience.
